Tell us what is on the list
For a small move, a short item list often works better than the number of bedrooms. Include dimensions for a sofa, mattress, dining table, or anything oversized. Photos show the crew what needs protection or disassembly. Also list boxes and loose items so the booking reflects the whole load.
Short distance does not always mean short time
Even a move across the street can involve stairs, elevator waiting, or a long walk from the truck. We ask about access at both ends and whether the building controls the moving window. That lets us recommend a practical crew and explain the minimum before you book.
Keep the minimum in mind
Our standard 2-mover service is $89/hour with a 3-hour minimum, or $267. Fuel is included. A small inventory does not automatically change the minimum. Any different arrangement needs to be stated in your written quote. The calculator can help you plan, but a furniture-only move is best reviewed from its actual inventory.
A good fit for careful preparation
Pack loose belongings into closed boxes, remove fragile items from drawers, and keep a clear path to the exit. Confirm that someone can provide access at both addresses. If you are collecting a purchased item, agree on the pickup window and check that it is ready to move before scheduling the crew.
